Toddler Program
Our
toddler program serves 9 children ages 15 months through 2 years, 9
months. Three teachers educate and care for our Toddlers. In the
toddler program, the prepared environment
responds to the children’s need for
independence. The teachers are a resource and a model for the children
to look up to as they
develop their social skills and awareness of who they are in relation
to others.
Developing language and self help skills, through
group play and one on one interaction, build the children's
confidence and desire to learn. The toddler teachers focus extensively
on supporting language
development and self help skills, both of which build confidence.
Through
group play and one
on one, our toddlers work on developing small and large motor skills,
early math concepts,
creative art, science, and music. The toddler teachers plan curriculum
each week to specifically
facilitate all these areas of development and they communicate with
parents each week about
what is planned for the curriculum.
