Classroom Organization

The classrooms at CCG are divided into the life cycle of a peace lily:

  • Seedlings (Infants)
  • Sprouts (Toddlers)
  • Lily Buds (Preschool)
  • Peace Lilies (Pre-K/Kindergarten)

The names of our classrooms reflect our philosophy. We are not constrained with the graded philosophy model, and the children are served according to their needs. Our experienced teachers have developed appropriate teaching strategies in:

  • Helping the children be aware of their learning and ability of self-reflection and evaluation
  • Giving the children the experience of decision-making.

The teachers base their instruction and grouping on documentation collected
from the children’s achievements. The children are served and challenged
according to their needs, not according to their age.

CCG was recently selected by PBS to help develop a science curriculum. Find out more here.
